Kaz Koltai joined Kaufman Legal Group as a Political Accounts Supervisor in December of 2015. Kaz works with candidates, elected officials and political committees to oversee their finances and prepare campaign finance reports to ensure compliance with federal, state and local campaign finance laws.
Previously, Kaz served as a Deputy Field Representative for Dan Schnur, Executive Director of USC’s Jesse M. Unruh Institute of Politics, in his campaign for California Secretary of State in 2014. In that role, he worked on the campaign’s social media outreach, fundraising efforts, and campaign events. Prior to joining the campaign, Kaz began his career in politics as an active volunteer for the “No on 8” campaign against California’s Proposition 8, which sought to restrict marriage equality, and as an intern for U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein in her Los Angeles district office.
Kaz earned his bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and Political Science from Chapman University. Kaz served the university as a Senator and Student Life Committee Chair in its Student Government Association, a Resident Advisor for Housing and Residence Life, and continues to serve as an Alumni Ambassador. Kaz was born and raised in Los Angeles.
